Sketch Blog Hop Day One

Welcome to the Sketch Blog Hop. Everyone has had so much fun doing these it's turned into a regular event! The purpose of this hop is to show how all of these talented bloggers can take the same sketch and come up with totally different cards. If you've never used a card sketch before, give it a try! You should have arrived from http://scrappinwithz.blogspot.com/ and if you just happened along the hop, you can go back to the start at www.craftycardgallery.blogspot.com Enjoy the hop!

This month has been such a mad rush with a sale going on at my store and my daily tasks of looking after children and work has left little time to complete any cards or projects...and that is what i love about sketches! The card I have for you today has just been completed in 10 mins (in fact the glue under the flowers is still drying!) Sketches make things so much easier when you just don't have the time to think, but allows you to put something that looks creative together with your own style. so here is what we had to start with

and here is my final card using the sketch from above (please excuse the bad photo..it is 7.30pm here in Australia) as usual i can't keep exactly to the sketch and have used it only as a guide.

Hopefully i will find some time to create another card for you all tomorrow that is not as "quick" as this one! Your next stop on the blog hop is Ashley http://thebloghopprincess.blogspot.com/

Mini Sewing Album

A few weeks ago I took part in a swap, the theme was sewing. This is the mini album I made for the person I swapped with! I was so happy how it came out

Materials: kaiser charlottes dream paper pad, dress form and sewing machine.

I covered the tags with sewing pattern instructions and the flower I made was using the pattern. A great way to use old patterns up!

Teabag Folding

Teabag Folding - a technique that I have been wanting to try for sometime now, and I decided that I would give it a go! I have so many scraps that this was perfect for what I needed to do! I just love the way it turned out as well, and the fact that it was so quick to make was even better!

I have set myself a challenge at the moment, to make cards only using scraps, I can't wait to see how many I can make!

Until next time

Day 2 Sketch Blog Hop with Crafty Card Gallery

Hi and welcome to day 2 of the Sketch Challenge if you can from Beth's blog then you are in the right place. Today I decided to take the sketch and turn a card into something a little more special. I made an easel card and used the sketch as the front of the card. I love making cards that are dimensional, although require a little more time to make I think they are well worth the effort when giving to a special person. this card will be going to one of my customers mum's for his mum's birthday!

Materials used : Kaisercraft coconut cardstock, Patterned paper from the Kaiser Charlotte's Dream collection, Kaiser Magnolia Grove stamps, Kaisercraft  peals, brads and paper blooms, Distress Ink and Copic markers. All these products and more can be found over at my store www.kerryscraftycardsandcuts.com.au

Thanks for stopping by and following the hop! Please see post below for link to next blog.

Happy scrappin' till next time

Sketch Challange Hop with Crafty Card gallery

Welcome to the June Sketch Blog Hop. Everyone has had so much fun doing these it's turned into a regular event! The purpose of this hop is to show how all of these talented bloggers can take the same sketch and come up with totally different cards. If you've never used a card sketch before, give it a try! You should have arrived from Beth's Blog  . If not, be sure to go back to the start at www.craftycardgallery.blogspot.com. Grab your favorite beverage and sit back & hop along with us!
It has been a while since I joined in as I have been busy with my business and life in general!..but i'm back, and after completing the challenge I realized how much I have missed them! I love working with sketches and I hardly ever do exactly the sketch and always can end up making several cards that don't look anything like it! I have made three cards today....
Here's the sketch:

Card 1 - most like the sketch we have been given! I love this paper..3 Bugs in a Rug Dawson collection. With 2 young boys in my house this collection is a must!
I have been cleaning up my craft room over the past few days and decided that i was not going to use any brand new sheets of paper from my stash until my HUGE pile of scraps were used up! I had more of this paper so decided to make another 2 cards :)

Notice that these don't look anything like the sketch we got given! I will have another card for you all tomorrow to see based on the sketch..and this one will be a little more special, so be sure to pop back tomorrow to see it!
